Milwaukee LASIK Eye Surgery

VISIX LaserDr. Hirsch uses the VISX Staar S4 ActiveTrak ™ Excimer Laser for LASIK vision correction procedures. The innovative ActiveTrak ™ technology allows monitoring of eye movement in all three dimensions without pupil dilation, which means more precise control for the doctor and less stress for the patient.

Lasik Milwaukee - Lasik Laser Eye Surgery - Lasik Mequon Variable Spot Beam technology gives the doctor greater flexibility, with seven separate beams ranging from 0.65 to 6.5 millimeters in size providing faster, smoother treatment and highly accurate corneal shaping. Plus, VSS™ (Variable Spot Scanning) technology adds a blend zone that helps smooth the cornea, increasing the ablation (treatment) zone by 51 percent. This transition provides a gradual change from the treatment area to the non-treated corner, resulting in clearer, sharper vision, especially in low light conditions.

LASIK: Custom Laser Treatments

CustomVueThe latest technological advance in laser vision correction is"custom" LASIK."Custom" LASIK, which also goes by various other proprietary names, such as CustomVue™. This represents the next step in improving the outcome of laser vision correction beyond the excellent results already attainable by conventional means. This is possible because every eye and its associated refractive errors are unique, much like one's fingerprint, and recent advancements in technology now allow us not only to measure these unique refractive imperfections, but also to accurately and predictably eliminate them.

Custom LASIK Technology: Lasik Laser Eye Surgery

At the heart of"custom" LASIK procedures is the aberrometer, such as the VISX WaveScan™ Wavefront measurement system. By adopting technology originally developed for high-powered telescopes, these Wavefront measurement devices can identify and quantitate imperfections in the individual's eye 25 times more precisely than the standard methods used for eyeglasses and contact lenses. This information is then digitally transferred to the excimer laser for the treatment, providing a new level of precision and accuracy.
